Letters are<br \/>\nnot sent to other grade levels, because their health curriculum does not include these standards.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grades 2 and 5 \u2014 instruction in the spring; parent letters distributed in May.<\/li>\n<li>Grades 7 and 8 \u2014 instruction in the winter; parent letters distributed in January.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Your_Right_to_Excuse_Your_Child\"><\/span>Your Right to Excuse Your Child<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Franklin Township School District acknowledges that parents and guardians are the primary<br \/>\nsexuality educators for their children. You may exclude your child from any Family Life,<br \/>\nSocial or Sexual Health instruction if it conflicts with conscience, moral or religious beliefs.<br \/>\nStudents who are excused are assigned to a separate classroom for the identified lessons and complete<br \/>\nindependent work on previously taught health topics such as nutrition, first aid, communication<br \/>\nskills and substance abuse.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Curriculum_Guides\"><\/span>Curriculum Guides<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The health curriculum guides are available for review. The annual parent letter is published as a<br \/>\nPDF on this page.<\/p>\n<p class=\"draft-note\"><strong>Draft note for the Steward \u2014 delete before publishing:<\/strong> The live page links a Health Curriculum Map hosted off-site and the 2025-2026 health letter. Carry both across. The letter names Mr. Hunter Timko (PE\/Health) and Mrs. Ann Teitelbaum (school nurse) as delivering instruction \u2014 but the current school nurse listed elsewhere on the site is Dana Roberts, so confirm staffing before republishing that detail.
