See<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/index.php\/preschool-enrollment\/\">Preschool Enrollment<\/a> for the lottery dates and how to<br \/>\napply.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kindergarten\"><\/span>Kindergarten<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Kindergarten registration is open to children who will be five on or before 1 October. If your<br \/>\nchild already attends preschool at Franklin Township School, you only need to complete the online<br \/>\nregistration and Home Language Survey \u2014 not the full document set.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, bring or complete the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Original birth certificate \u2014 copied and returned to you immediately<\/li>\n<li>Proof of residency \u2014 mortgage, deed or lease agreement, driver&#8217;s license, or utility bill<\/li>\n<li>Health forms \u2014 the Universal Child Health Record completed by your doctor, with the immunization record attached<\/li>\n<li>Online Student Registration and Home Language Survey<\/li>\n<li>Progress report from preschool<\/li>\n<li>Custody papers, if applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Grades_1-8\"><\/span>Grades 1-8<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Register online, then bring the birth certificate, proofs of residency, health forms and a student<br \/>\nrecords release form to the school office.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Before_Your_Child_Starts\"><\/span>Before Your Child Starts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>School hours<\/strong> \u2014 8:35 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Early dismissal is 12:50 p.m.; delayed openings begin at 10:35 a.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Buses<\/strong> \u2014 learn the letter of your child&#8217;s bus. Bus information is emailed directly by the transportation company. Allow ten minutes either side of the posted time for the first few days.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parent drop-off<\/strong> \u2014 doors open at 8:35 a.m. Students must have a note to use parent pick-up; a single note can cover the whole year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Genesis Parent Portal<\/strong> \u2014 set up your account early. Beginning-of-year forms are acknowledged through Genesis, and access to your child&#8217;s gradebook depends on completing them.
