It measures performance against the New Jersey Student Learning Standards in<br \/>\nEnglish Language Arts and Mathematics, with Science assessed in grades 5 and 8.<\/p>\n<h2>What Families Should Know<\/h2>\n<p>NJSLA results are one measure among several. They are reported to families individually, and the<br \/>\nschool uses aggregate results to review curriculum and instruction. The results do not by themselves<br \/>\ndetermine placement or promotion.<\/p>\n<h2>Testing Window and Preparation<\/h2>\n<p>The testing window is set by the New Jersey Department of Education and communicated to families<br \/>\neach spring.
