Each is a place where the source content<br \/>\nwas missing, out of date, or asserted something that could not be verified. They fall into three groups.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Content_Does_Not_Exist_Anywhere\"><\/span>Content Does Not Exist Anywhere<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>These cannot be drafted from existing material. Somebody has to supply the facts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mission &amp; Vision<\/strong> \u2014 the mission was found on the home page and is now in place. A <em>vision<\/em> statement still does not exist anywhere on the site.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Affirmative Action<\/strong> \u2014 the Affirmative Action Officer and Title IX Coordinator must be named with contact details. Federal requirement. No name appears anywhere on the current site.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wellness Morning Meetings<\/strong> \u2014 the only source is a flyer from 2019 listing three group names with no description of any of them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Curriculum Overview<\/strong> \u2014 the curriculum maps sit in a shared drive folder that could not be read. The folder contents are needed to describe them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Staff Only Info<\/strong> \u2014 the current page is gated, so its contents are unknown.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Payroll Information<\/strong> \u2014 two documents and no explanation. Needs the pay calendar and a contact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Source_Material_Is_Out_of_Date\"><\/span>Source Material Is Out of Date<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Content was written from what exists, with the stale specifics deliberately left out. A steward<br \/>\nneeds to supply current detail before publication.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Assessments &amp; Results<\/strong> \u2014 every document is from 2022-23.<\/li>\n<li><strong>High School Scheduling<\/strong> \u2014 source names a former Principal and former Guidance Counselor, and contradicts itself on dates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Week of Respect<\/strong> \u2014 themes are durable and were kept; the 2019 dates were dropped.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fundraising &amp; Class Trips<\/strong> \u2014 directs hardship enquiries to a former principal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Environmental<\/strong> \u2014 the most recent water quality report is over a year old and the pest management notice is from 2022-23. Both are annual obligations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Title 1<\/strong> \u2014 the Right-to-Know letter still contains the literal placeholder &#8220;(enter district contact information.)&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Health Curriculum<\/strong> \u2014 names a school nurse who does not match the nurse listed elsewhere on the site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Written_But_Needs_Checking\"><\/span>Written, But Needs Checking<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Drafted from a real source and believed accurate, but asserting things a steward should confirm:<br \/>\nAthletic Offerings (17 community organization web addresses transcribed from an undated PDF, none<br \/>\ntested), Harassment Intimidation &amp; Bullying (statutory timeframes stated from the Anti-Bullying Bill<br \/>\nof Rights Act \u2014 confirm against the adopted policy), Head Lice (no school position stated on returning<br \/>\nafter treatment), Employee Benefits, Open Positions, Welcome &amp; New Families, Learning from Home,<br \/>\nStudent Resources, About FTS, Community Communications, Baseball, Softball, National Junior Honor<br \/>\nSociety, Staff &amp; HR.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Proposed_Changes_Not_Yet_Made\"><\/span>Proposed Changes Not Yet Made<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Merge_NJSLA_Information_into_Assessments_Results\"><\/span>1. Merge NJSLA Information into Assessments &amp; Results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Both pages now cover the same ground. NJSLA Information was &#8220;Coming soon!&#8221; on the current<br \/>\nsite and had to be written from general knowledge, so it says nothing specific to FTS. One page would<br \/>\nserve families better than two thin ones.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Delete_Teacher_Webpages\"><\/span>2. Delete Teacher Webpages<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>It links to individual teacher pages that do not exist and renders an error. The restructure plan<br \/>\nallows either fixing the links or removing the page; there is nothing to fix, so it should go.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Amend_Standard_31_to_permit_Level_3_under_Athletics\"><\/span>3. Amend Standard 3.1 to permit Level 3 under Athletics<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The standard currently permits third-level navigation for Departments only. Athletics &amp; Activities<br \/>\nneeds it too \u2014 FTS Sports has eight team pages beneath it. The alternative is eight more items at<br \/>\nLevel 2, which breaks the twelve-item cap.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Decide_what_Staff_Only_Info_is\"><\/span>4. Decide what Staff Only Info is<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Standard 3.2 requires the sidebar and top navigation to match. A page the public can see listed but<br \/>\ncannot open is a poor experience. Either move it behind a staff login and drop it from public<br \/>\nnavigation, or keep a public page that explains what is inside and how staff reach it.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Reconsider_the_Special_Services_flyout\"><\/span>5. Reconsider the Special Services flyout<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Special Services has 19 third-level pages. The menu now renders them correctly, but a 19-item hover<br \/>\nmenu runs past the bottom of a laptop screen and is hard to use. The content is good and well<br \/>\nmaintained \u2014 this is a navigation question, not a content one. Options: group them under three or four<br \/>\nsub-headings, or drop them from the hover menu and rely on the section landing page and sidebar.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"6_Rename_the_PDF_library_as_documents_are_replaced\"><\/span>6. Rename the PDF library as documents are replaced<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Link text across the site is descriptive and compliant. The underlying files are not \u2014 the<br \/>\nAffirmative Action complaint form is stored as <code>AA_Complaint_Form (3)<\/code>, which Standard 2.2<br \/>\nnames as an example of what is not acceptable. This is not worth a bulk exercise; rename files as they<br \/>\nare next updated.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"7_Alt_text_sweep\"><\/span>7. Alt text sweep<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>79 images carry an alt attribute, so an automated check passes. Around half of the non-portrait<br \/>\nimages have placeholder values like <code>llll<\/code>, <code>888<\/code> or a single space. Deferred by<br \/>\nagreement; worth doing in one pass rather than page by page.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"8_Flowcharts_as_images\"><\/span>8. Flowcharts as images<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Several PDFs are diagrams rather than documents \u2014 the MTSS flow chart is the clearest example.<br \/>\nThese would be better placed in the page as images with a text description alongside.
