Peer Assistance Leadership Program (PAL)
The Peer Assistance Leadership Program at Franklin Township School provides nominated students with effective training in resiliency strategies, peer conflict resolution, leadership, and peer mediation.
Our Peer Leaders provide guidance and mentoring for peers and younger students on issues such as self-esteem, social skills and peer conflict. The PAL Leaders enrich Franklin Township School and the community through service learning projects and extended volunteer activities while creating a safe, social, and fun environment within the school.
Student who are interested in joining are required to apply to the program and obtain three (3) letters of recommendation from sources that are close to them. Once they have completed the application process, staff assists in voting for students they feel would be the best fit for a PAL Leader. If a student is not selected, he or she may re-apply the following year. This program is open to students in grades 6-8.
