Supply Lists

Back-to-school supply lists for the 2026-2027 school year, by grade. Bring supplies on the first
day unless your child’s teacher tells you otherwise.

Brand names are given where a particular product works better in class — they are suggestions,
not requirements. If the cost of any of this is difficult, contact the main office on
(908) 735-7929. That conversation is confidential and support is available.

Pre-K

• A morning snack with a drink, every day
• Crayola Ultra-Clean washable thick markers, 8 count (1 pack)
• Crayola Ultra-Clean washable fine line markers, 10 count (1 pack)
• A rest mat that rolls up
• Gallon zip-lock bags (1 box)
• A pack of Expo markers
• A change of clothes, including socks, underwear and sneakers

Kindergarten

• 2 pocket folders (plastic preferred)
• 3 boxes of crayons, 24 count
• 1 box of colored pencils
• 1 pair of round-tip safety scissors
• 2 large erasers
• 12 glue sticks
• 1 bottle of Elmer’s glue
• 2 low-odor black dry erase markers
• 1 pair of over-the-ear headphones
• 1 smock or old shirt for painting

Grade 1

• 4 boxes of #2 pencils
• 1 box of Crayola crayons (any size)
• 1 set of Crayola colored pencils (any size)
• 1 set of thick markers
• 1 set of thin markers
• 1 pocket folder
• 4 black dry erase markers, fine tip
• 1 whiteboard eraser
• Wired headphones or earbuds for use with the iPad
• 12 glue sticks
• 1 pair of scissors, 5 inch
• 1 watercolor paint palette

Grade 2

• 1 pair of headphones
• 1 box of crayons
• 1 set of colored pencils
• 5 thin-tipped black dry erase markers
• 2 primary composition notebooks with a drawing box
• 2 plastic folders
• 24 #2 pencils
• 1 soft pencil case
• 12 glue sticks
• 3 block erasers

Grade 3

• 1 box of crayons, 24 count
• 1 pair of Fiskars scissors, 5 inch pointed tip
• 1 box of thin markers, 12 count
• 1 box of colored pencils, 12 count

• 1 pencil box
• 2 two-pocket folders

Grade 4

• 1 seven-pocket accordion folder
• 2 composition notebooks
• 1 spiral-bound notebook
• 1 plastic pencil box
• 24 pre-sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga preferred)
• 1 box of crayons
• 1 box of colored pencils
• 2 glue sticks
• 1 pair of student scissors
• 2 highlighters, any color
• 1 clean sock or small cloth, for dry erase boards
• 1 personal set of headphones, in a labeled zip-lock bag

Grade 5

General

• 1 Five Star stay-put plastic and prong folder, any color — this is the homework folder
• 25 sheet protectors
• 1 soft pencil case, brought to every class

The pencil case holds the following, and may need replenishing during the year:

• 5 packs of pencils, 12 per pack
• Erasers
• Highlighters, 4 different colors
• 2 black dry erase markers
• 2 fine-tip black Sharpie markers
• 2 extra-fine-tip black Sharpie markers
• Small scissors (optional)

Math

• 1 sturdy 1.5 inch binder with a presentation cover and inside pockets
• 5 tab dividers
• 1 package of quad-ruled reinforced paper
• 1 package of reinforced lined paper

Science

• 1 composition notebook, 100 pages
• 4 large glue sticks
• 1 green plastic folder

English Language Arts

• 1 pocket folder, labeled Language Arts
• 1 pocket folder, any color, labeled Writing

Social Studies

• 1 pocket folder, labeled Social Studies

Grades 6 to 8

Math

• 1 three-subject notebook
• 1 folder
• Pencils

Donations for the class collection are appreciated: dry erase markers and pencils.

English Language Arts

• Pencil case — one that fits inside the binder works best
• Loose-leaf paper, college ruled
• Homework assignment pad
• Homework folder
• A section of a binder. Sharing one binder across subjects is fine.
• #2 pencils
• Pens in blue or black. Tests must be taken in blue or black, so always have one available.
• 1 four-color pen: blue, black, red and green
• 3×5 white index cards
• Highlighters
• Sticky notes

Science

• Pencils or pens
• 1 folder

Social Studies

Choose whichever suits your child:

• A binder with filler paper and a folder, or
• A sturdy folder with a notebook

Two things to check. First, the source document is the 2025-2026 list. I have relabeled it
2026-2027 as instructed but have not changed a single item, because I have no way of knowing which
teachers have revised their requirements. Every list needs confirming with the grade teams before this
page goes live — relabeling last year’s list as this year’s is exactly the stale-content
problem the standards are meant to prevent. Second, the Pre-K entry originally carried example images
of roll-up rest mats with Amazon links, marked as suggestions rather than requirements. Those images
and links were not in the text supplied, so they are not on this page; add them back if they are still
wanted.
